How We Use Your Personal Information
Providing the Services. We use your personal information to deliver tutoring, coaching, and application advising, to schedule sessions, to track student progress and plan next steps, to send invoices and receipts, and to reconcile payments.
Communicating with you. We use your personal information to respond to your questions, provide client support, send service updates, and improve our Services. If you have asked to hear from us, we may also send occasional updates about our Services by email. We do not show you advertisements.
Security and Fraud Prevention. We use your personal information to detect, investigate, or take action regarding possible fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity, and to keep our accounts and records secure.

Artificial Intelligence Tools and Session Notes
Our Google Workspace account includes Google's AI features, including Gemini, and we may use them to help with tasks such as drafting and organizing that involve client communications and documents. These tools operate within our Google account. We do not enter student or client personal information into any other AI tools.
We do not record audio or video of our sessions. We do use Google Meet's transcription and AI note-taking features, which create written transcripts and notes of what is said during a session. We tell you before we turn them on. We store them in our Google account as part of the client record and use them to track student progress and plan next steps.
Third Party Websites and Links
Our Site may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties, such as testing organizations or college websites. If you follow links to sites not affiliated with or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites, including the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information found on them. Our inclusion of such links does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators, except as disclosed on the Services.
Children's Data
Our Services are designed for students and their families, and we work primarily with parents and guardians. We collect information about students from their parents or guardians, or directly from students with a parent or guardian's knowledge.
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with personal information and you want it deleted, contact us using the details below.
We do not "share" or "sell" (as those terms are defined in applicable law) personal information of individuals.
Security and Retention of Your Information
Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." We use reasonable safeguards, including password protection and two-factor authentication on our business accounts. We store client records, including essays, transcripts, and session notes, in our Google Workspace account and limit access to it. Our website host, Squarespace, holds website data, and our bank holds payment details.
We keep client records for 12 months after our work together ends, then delete or anonymize them. We keep session transcripts and notes for a shorter period, 180 days after our work together ends, then delete them. We keep invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. How long we keep other information depends on factors such as whether we need it to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below in relation to your personal information. However, these rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances, and, in certain cases, we may decline your request as permitted by law.
